I really didn’t want to believe it when my aunt told me that women are the worst to work with in a corporate environment. Yes, I’ve heard that they are less likely to give another woman a hands-up for fear they may put themselves in jeopardy (women’s studies courses), but I really just didn’t want to believe it. I still don’t, but it seems to have crept it’s way into my life like the smell of dirty feet from the office cubical next to me (not really, the office smells fine).

Need I say more here. Of course I don’t degrade myself this far as to do something like that and apparently, that’s why I am getting squished like an aphid.
Well, what do you do if you’re the aphid? Here’s what I did:
- Printed out about 247 emails contradicting the allegations that I pretty much suck
- Determined I would stick up for myself in the meeting
- Confronted my accuser
- And I’m not done…
After she ignored me and my ridiculous amount of proof, she told me I couldn’t do anything about the false accusations made to compile my annual review (if you can call it a review, I call it a good old-fashion bashing). She stated and I quote,
